Nineteen of the Russian's 21 victories have been won on hard courts
A resurgent Medvedev secured his maiden championship for nearly 30 months with success over opponent Moutet in the Almaty Open final.
The athlete, a former top-ranked player, has had a torrid season, achieving just one match at the major tournaments and experiencing a difficult moment at the US Open.
Medvedev's inconsistency on the ATP Tour - and struggles with his service game in specific - led to him exiting of the elite rankings and finally separating with former mentor his previous coach.
Presently collaborating with Johansson and his other coach, he has gradually progressed in the past month - peaking in a hard-fought competitive win over Frenchman Moutet.
This marks the player's maiden trophy since the Italian tournament and first on a hard court since that period of 2023.
Victory also indicates he has won twenty-one championships at 21 various tournaments.
"This marks the first occasion I am participating in a event with my children together, so to win a championship is really nice," said tennis professional Medvedev.
"This title is in honour of my child Victoria, because the initial championship I won when my older daughter her name was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his last six finals, including in Halle earlier this year.
His defensive strategy and recurring reactions on court had prompted commentators to doubt if his skill to play at the top level was finished.
However the athlete has altered his approach in the last few weeks, striving to advance forward and play assertively, supported by an improved serving game.
He recovered from a break down in the opening set against the difficult Frenchman, winning four of the concluding five points to gain the advantage.
The pair traded breaks in the following set before the Frenchman, bidding for his initial tour victory, gained dominance to force a final set.
The opponent defended 4 early-game opportunities in a tight final set before the champion won the break to that score to close out the victory.
Suitably, Medvedev earned the title with a rally at the net, with his opponent failing to handle a shot after two hours and 38 minutes.
